Harmful Products

Zayed Law Offices was founded in 2009 with a singular mission to help level the playing field between injured individuals and organized money, i.e. corporations and insurance companies. In the harmful products arena, there is an absolute disparity between the individual and the large corporations who disseminate dangerous product. People are injured every day in Illinois and across the United States because of the negligence of product manufacturers and dangerous drug manufacturers. At Zayed Law Offices, we take great pride in representing people against large corporations, and we have an emphasis on our harmful products practice area. Our legal team consists of skilled, dedicated and experience trial advocates who will provide compassionate representation as we hold responsible parties to justice.

Dangerous Drugs and Defective Devices Lawyers

Our attorneys handle products liability, product defect, and dangerous drug cases. Sometimes the terms products liability/product defect are used as an umbrella term.  But it is also specific term of art referring to cases involving design defects, manufacturing defects, or marketing defects in products.  The definition of “product” is broad and includes, but is not limited to, products liability claims involve asbestos, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other health products, and motor vehicles.

Our attorneys receive hundreds or even thousands of product liability case inquiries every year.  Sometimes people have experienced a bad result that is not necessarily a product liability case.  In order to bring a valid harmful product case, we typically use three key legal causes of action: Strict Liability, Breach of Warranty and/or Negligence.

Strict Liability claims allow attorneys and injured parties to proceed without having to prove a particular act on the part of the seller or manufacturer, although it still must be proven that the product was defective.  Instead, your lawyer must prove that the product was defective at the time it left the control of the seller. The general elements of a strict liability products case include:

  1. The product was in defective condition at the time it left the possession of the seller or manufacturer;
  1. The product was unreasonably dangerous; and
  1. The product caused injuries.

Breach of warranty cases typically involve a failure to properly want consumers of various known risks.  And, last but not least, harmful products cases relying on ordinary negligence are involve a failure to do what an ordinary, reasonable manufacturer should have done.

The Harmful Products Team at Zayed Law Offices

If you or someone you love has been killed or injured using a drug or product, our product defect lawyers will initiate an investigation to determine the merits of your case.  In most cases, we have already performed the initial investigation necessary to evaluate your case.  This is partially because of the volume of cases we see and also because the attorneys at Zayed Law Offices have years of experience handling harmful product cases. We take both individual and mass tort cases that are consolidated into an MDL or a Multi District Litigation. If you want to discuss your case with one of our attorneys or get information on a particular MDL, call us at 855.726.1616 or click here for a free Internet consultation.
