Jeff Tabares is a highly experienced trial attorney who has successfully tried more than 55 cases to verdict across Illinois. His practice has included complex matters involving medical malpractice, professional liability, premises liability, trucking and transportation injuries, and wrongful death.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Tabares has tried cases in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Peoria, Tazewell, DeKalb, Kendall, and Boone Counties. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Tabares joined Zayed Law after 25 years of defense practice, giving him valuable insight into how defendants, insurance companies, and their attorneys evaluate, prepare, and litigate claims. He now uses that experience to anticipate defense strategies, strengthen cases, and advocate for injured clients.
He is committed to thoughtful communication and strategic case management focused on maximizing recovery for his clients. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Tabares also values the opportunity to communicate with Spanish-speaking clients in their native language and build trust throughout the legal process.
Mr. Tabares earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University in 2001. He previously earned a Master’s degree in Ancient Languages in 1996 and a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 from Dallas Baptist University.
